When I see an adult on a bicycle, I do not despair for the future of the human race -  H.G. Wells

I'd like to say "Thank you !"

Picture
...to all the people that made and make this project possible, to the people that inspire me every day, people that give me courage, offer advice or just flash a smile when I cycle past them, to the people I meet on the road, the people that showed me the way, offered me shelter, a bed or couch or simply some space on the floor to sleep on, a meal, a cup of coffee or a glass of mint tea (Here is to the people of Morocco!) and especially those who offer me their unconditional friendship and trust in the midst of their homes and families.

A special thanks at this point to the dedicated members of social communities like Couchsurfing.org and Warmshowers.org, whose networks (and couches etc.) I use from time to time. I am grateful for every time I have been hosted in one of these safe havens that seem like heaven for the wary traveler. It never felt like me being a mere guest but more like an old friend coming home. Thank you!

Thank you to Pilar and Alfredo who gave me the opportunity to experience how it is to be a Hospitalero on the Camino de Santiago. I will never forget these two weeks in the Albergue of Astorga.
Thank you to Coral in El Viso and Rafael for conducting my first TV interview!A hearty ¡Muchas Gracias, hombre! to Guille in Madrid for his help with spare parts logistics, for a lot of good laughs and  mail forwarding, to Nieves for moral support, lots of love and lots more.

Last but most important: A HUGE Thank You to my family, I love you guys - and to my "segunda familia" in Ecuador, Marco y Cecilia - os debo tanto...

... to Linda, Nora, Ben & Ole - little Monsters with big lungs but even bigger hearts and brave as lions.

...and thank you to the friendly Scotsman who stopped his car in the middle of a crossroads just to give me a chocolate-bar. and say "Welcome to Scotland!" -  You saved my day, man !
