If I where to name something that makes my trip stand out from the other global cycle-tours, I would have to think twice and then I would probably respond - It is outstanding to me - because it is my OWN trip !
So far I cycled over 19.000 exiting kilometers through Morocco, Spain, France, England, Wales, Scotland, Norway, Estonia, Russia, Ukraine, Moldova, Romania, Poland, Germany, Czech Republic, Slovakia, Hungary, Serbia and Macedonia - now I am preparing to ride towards the Middle East and Africa. I hope this web-site will be a good tool for communication, and a platform to tell my story. So, sit back, relax and enjoy ! |
ABout me:
My name is Sascha Kurhajec - I was born on the 29th of June 1973 in Pforzheim, Germany. Although I consider myself a modestly keen recreational cyclist, as of late traveling by bicycle has become my way of life.
After loosing my job as project logistics coordinator in January 2009, I decided to take a break and ride my bicycle around the world. A couple of weeks later - on 1st of march 2009, I set off from my doorstep to travel the globe, to get to know foreign countries and cultures, meet the people from different continents, to discover the beauty of our planet, feel the air in my hair and the sun on my skin. In short - to live the dream of a lifetime.  |
